Medical News FLU SEASON IS FAST APPROACHING! It is now time to get your Flu Vaccination for the upcoming flu season. Acadiana Urgent Care Center is now offering both injections and intranasal spray mist vaccines. The injections can be administered to patients beginning at age 4 years, and the mist can be given to patients aged 2-49 years old. New recommendations for annual influenza vaccination include all school-aged children through the age of 18 years. If your child is under 8 years old and has never been vaccinated, 2 vaccines doses one month apart are recommended. Flu injections are $35.00 and Flumist is $44.00. Many insurances cover flu vaccinations with no out of pocket expense to the patient. We would like to thank all of you who voted for us in The Times of Acadiana "Best of Lafayette" contest.
